About the role

The Step-Down RN will provide critical nursing care to patients with a variety of diagnoses including Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), respiratory failure, and cardiac dysrhythmias. This role requires proficiency in cardiac and emergency procedures, including medication administration, monitoring of vital signs, and post-procedural care.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor patients post-heart catheterization and vascular procedures.
• Conduct frequent vital signs and neurovascular checks.
• Administer and manage medications, including emergency and cardiac drips.
• Perform clinical procedures such as IV start and maintenance, PICC line management, and blood product administration.
• Monitor and assist with respiratory therapies, including BiPAP/CPAP management.
• Interpret dysrhythmias and manage cardiac conditions.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Step-Down nursing experience.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
• Experience with cardiac telemetry and dysrhythmia interpretation preferred.
• Competency in IV therapy, including starting and maintaining IVs.
• Experience in post-procedural monitoring for vascular and cardiac patients.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

Day shift, 4x12-hour schedule from 07:00 to 19:30.
