Travel Step Down RN - $1,890 per week

About the role

Travel RN Stepdown position in Amarillo, Texas, on a 13‑week contract. The role is on a Med/Surg and Intermediate Care unit, providing high‑quality care to a diverse patient population. Start date is 10/05/2026, with a 36‑hour work week (4 × 12‑hour day shifts).

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in a Med/Surg and Intermediate Care setting.
• Assist with patient assessments, monitoring, and care planning.
• Administer medications and manage intravenous (IV) therapy.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
• Educate patients and families regarding medical conditions and treatments.
• Assist with overflow medical/surgical patients as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications (mandatory).
• Active state or compact RN license at time of submission.
• Previous charge experience (preferred).
• Experience with telemetry and interpretation of dysrhythmias (advantageous).

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined. Contract and local rates may vary based on location and applicant residency.

Day shift – 4 × 12‑hour shifts (07:00 – 19:30), 36 hours per week.
