Travel Speech Therapist - Acute Care Rehabilitation - $2,890 per week
About the Role
Ardor Health Solutions is seeking a Travel Speech‑Language Pathologist for a 13‑week contract at Hilo Medical Center in Hilo, Hawaii. The position provides acute inpatient rehabilitation services to adult patients recovering from neurological conditions, stroke, trauma, and other medically complex diagnoses within a collaborative multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Perform speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing evaluations.
- Complete and interpret Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS).
- Develop individualized treatment plans for communication, cognition, and dysphagia.
- Treat patients recovering from stroke, neurological disorders, trauma, and other medically complex conditions.
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, dietitians, and case management.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and safe swallowing strategies.
- Complete timely documentation and progress reporting.
Requirements
- Hawaii Speech‑Language Pathology license required by assignment start.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience preferred.
- Experience performing Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS) required.
- Acute rehabilitation, acute care, or skilled nursing facility experience preferred.
Schedule
- Start date: 09/28/2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Full‑time, 40 hours per week
- Shift: 8‑hour days
