Travel Speech Therapist - $2,529 per week

About the Role

Thrive Staffing is seeking a travel Speech Language Pathologist for a travel job in Hilo, Hawaii. The role involves providing rehabilitation services in acute care settings and skilled nursing facilities (SNF), with a focus on performing Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBS) independently.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform Modified Barium Swallow Studies in accordance with established protocols.
• Document procedures accurately using Meditech computerized documentation system for inpatient cases, and paper and pencil documentation for outpatient cases.
• Provide rehabilitation services in acute care settings and skilled nursing facilities (SNF).
• Possibly provide referrals for outpatient care as needed.
• Float to other units or departments as required based on patient census and staffing needs.

Qualifications

• Current valid Hawaii license is required by the start of the assignment.
• Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience, preferably in a skilled nursing facility or rehabilitation hospital.
• Experience and proficiency in completing Modified Barium Swallow Studies independently.
• Must possess BLS certification.
• Hawaii rehabilitation licensure in the appropriate discipline is required.

Schedule

The position generally includes a set schedule of 5 days per week, which may include working one weekend day. Flexibility to float to other units or to another facility may be necessary based on operational needs and patient census.

Additional Information

• Candidates must arrive by the Thursday before the assignment start date to attend an employee health appointment on Friday.
• Dress code: Scrubs or appropriate attire as per dress code policy.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
