Responsibilities

• Assess patients with speech, hearing, or language deficits
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Teach patients effective communication and safe swallowing techniques
• Set realistic goals to help patients regain or develop communication and swallowing skills for personal, educational, and vocational needs
• Provide therapy services in accordance with physician orders
• Evaluate patient needs
• Modify care plans to meet therapy goals

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Current state licensure or active application
• At least one year of professional experience
• CCCs (Certificate of Clinical Competence)
• CPR certification
• Additional requirements may be determined by the client facility
