About the Role

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) evaluates, diagnoses, and treats communication and swallowing disorders across diverse patient populations. They develop individualized treatment plans, utilize standardized assessments, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes. The SLP educates patients and caregivers on communication strategies and safe swallowing practices, while maintaining accurate documentation and adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments, design and adjust therapy programs, monitor progress, and provide patient education and support.
  • Work with healthcare teams to coordinate comprehensive care, ensuring a safe and effective treatment environment.
  • Engage in quality assurance and stay current with best practices in speech therapy.

Requirements

  • Valid Speech Language Pathologist license per state regulations.
  • Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in English, computer skills, and ability to follow instructions.
  • Physical ability to assist with equipment and patient movement.
  • Ability to work under pressure, maintain professionalism, and effectively communicate with diverse personnel.
  • Visual acuity and sensory skills necessary for effective communication and assessment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
  • Relevant experience; new graduates are welcome to apply.
