About the Role

Work in a hospital setting as a travel clinician providing a full range of Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) services.

Pay

Weekly pay range: $2,756–$2,815 per week. Guaranteed hours: 40 per week.

Schedule

Shift: 8 hours per day for the duration of the 14-week contract.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct evaluations and establish a Plan of Care for speech-language goals; assess home environment and equipment needs as appropriate.
  • Identify functional speech defects and develop a care plan to improve patient function.
  • Administer speech therapy programs using specialized techniques and equipment.
  • Recommend communication devices and aids as indicated.
  • Coordinate with referring physician and other staff to ensure a coordinated and comprehensive Plan of Care.
  • Document patient progress and determine ongoing need for treatment; provide patient and family education; refer to additional services as appropriate.
  • May supervise home health aide tasks related to the Plan of Care; participate in case conferences and other required meetings.

Requirements

  • Education: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program meeting ASHA requirements.
  • Certification/Licensure: Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology from ASHA or CCC eligible; current state license as applicable.
  • CPR certification: Required.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of clinical Speech-Language Pathology experience; home care environment experience preferred.
  • Licensure/Skills: Active state license as applicable; ability to work in a hospital setting.
  • Other: Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation and auto insurance.
