Assignment Overview
- Shift: Days, 5x8s from 8:00am to 4:30pm
- Hospital-based Inpatient Rehab Facility (IRF) unit located on the 9th floor with 28 patient beds within a 396-bed hospital
- Daily caseload averages 6.5 patient contact hours out of an 8-hour shift, with individual treatment sessions ranging from 30 to 60 minutes
- No on-call requirements
- Primary assignment is Inpatient Rehab Program with potential to float to Acute Care based on census needs
- Uses Epic EMR for charting
Requirements
- Current South Carolina SLP license required (if applicable)
- BLS and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) certifications required
- 2-3 years of experience as an SLP with Inpatient Rehab Facility experience required
- Experience with NMES (Vital Stim) and Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) studies required
- Must be willing to obtain and wear a radiation badge, provided by the agency
- Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers accepted with prior Inpatient Rehab Facility experience
- Scrub color requirement: Misty Grey (light grey/silver)
- No parking costs at this facility
- Local candidates within 60 miles of the facility are not accepted
- Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- All requested time off must be submitted at time of application for consideration
- Block scheduling requests may be accommodated but are not guaranteed
- During hurricane season (June through November), all staff may be assigned to emergency response duties
