Travel Speech Language Pathologist - Home Health - $2,286 per week
About the Role
American Traveler seeks a Speech Language Pathologist for a 13-week travel Home Health position in Albemarle, North Carolina. This role involves providing care to patients in their homes across Albemarle, Badin, Harrisburg, Mt Gilead, Norwood, Troy, and surrounding areas.
The position requires treating adult patients with cognitive impairments, tracheostomy care needs, dysphagia, stroke, and aphasia. The schedule includes 6 patient visits per day with 30 visit equivalents (VE) required weekly. The average daily driving distance is approximately 60-80 miles, with mileage reimbursed weekly.
This is an 8-hour day shift schedule (0800-1700), 40 hours per week, with no weekend rotation, call requirements, or major holiday coverage. Floating within Stanly and Montgomery counties is required.
Visits are scheduled with patients one day prior to the appointment. The role uses EPIC Rover (view only), Mosaiq for uploading discharge instructions and wound documentation, and Homecare Homebase EMR. A company-provided phone is used for documentation and communication.
Responsibilities
- Provide Home Health Speech Language Pathology services to patients in their homes.
- Treat adult patients with cognitive impairments, tracheostomy care needs, dysphagia, stroke, and aphasia.
- Complete 6 patient visits per day, totaling 30 visit equivalents weekly.
- Travel throughout assigned areas, averaging 60-80 miles daily with reimbursed mileage.
- Use EPIC Rover, Mosaiq, and Homecare Homebase EMR for documentation.
- Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and a multi-disciplinary team.
- Schedule visits with patients one day prior to the appointment.
- Float within Stanly and Montgomery counties as required.
Requirements
- Active Speech Language Pathology license (if applicable).
- Minimum 1 year of Home Health experience required.
- Homecare Homebase (HCHB) EMR experience required with no exceptions.
- Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Strong time management and communication skills.
- Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration.
- Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the last year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN.
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel position.
- Returning employees must be separated from any AHSE facility for at least 1 year after working a permanent position.
