Travel Speech Language Pathologist - Acute Care - $2,237 per week

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Speech Language Pathologist for a travel job in Colorado Springs, Colorado. We are looking for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for an immediate travel opening. The right SLP should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted. As an SLP, you will be responsible for assisting patients with speech, voice, or swallowing impairments and evaluating and developing a plan of care for a variety of patient populations in the acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders
• Create treatment and therapy plans to suit the individualized needs of a diverse population of patients
• Perform screenings to detect voice or speech disorders
• Educate patients and family members about speech disorders and causes, including disabilities and traumatic events
• Report progress and current status to appropriate parties, which may include family members, teachers, or medical professionals
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines

Requirements

• Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply
• Must have BLS and ASHA-SLP National Certification with state-specific licensing
• Speech-Language Pathologists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty
• SLPs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment (ASHA, BLS, 2 Years)

• 40 hours per week
