About the role
This position is based in the Outpatient Rehabilitation Services Department with a primary focus on providing general Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) evaluations and treatments which impact a patient’s functional abilities. The role involves working in compliance with hospital standards and regulatory guidelines, providing care through therapy plans of care, and working in various healthcare settings.
Responsibilities
- Provide assessment, perform evaluations, and implement therapy treatment plans for patients.
- Attend care conferences and collaborate with team members to ensure patient care needs are met.
- Document patient encounters and treatments appropriately for continuity of care and reimbursement.
- Provide education and therapy programs to patients and families, ensuring clarity and understanding.
- Participate in community service and outreach activities as required.
- Assist in administrative and clinic operations; maintain clinical supplies and space.
- Educate staff and participate in professional development activities.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- CCC-SLP certified and licensed by the State of Alaska in Speech Language Pathology.
- Basic Life Support certification.
- Pediatrics and outpatient experience required.
Schedule
- 13-week contract starting 09/14/2026.
- 40 hours per week, 10-hour day shifts (07:00–17:00).
- Pediatric clinic hours: 8 am to 6 pm, Monday–Friday.
