Med Ninjas is seeking a travel Speech Language Pathologist for a travel job in Saint Joseph, Missouri.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: Speech Language PathologistDiscipline: TherapyStart Date: ASAPDuration: 13 weeks40 hours per weekShift: 8 hours, daysEmployment Type: TravelJob Summary (List Format): - Develop and implement treatment plans to improve swallowing, cognitive, and communication abilities, and reduce aspiration risks. - Utilize communication techniques to enhance both expressive and receptive language skills for patients. - Lead, guide, and direct speech language pathology and audiology services within the facility. - Ensure services comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures. - Provide appropriate care and therapeutic services to residents in both short-term rehab and long-term care settings. - Collaborate closely with nursing staff, doctors, and other therapy team members to coordinate patient care. - Treat a diverse patient population with a variety of cognitive, dietary, and neurological diagnoses. - Work within a busy, supportive, and high-energy skilled nursing and post-acute rehabilitation environment. - Maintain up-to-date knowledge of skilled nursing home regulations, procedures, laws, and guidelines. - Participate in building and improving long-term care and therapy programming for the facility. - Maintain required licenses and certifications (MO State SLP License, CCC certification, valid driver’s license). - Adhere to the facility’s dress code (scrubs).Med Ninjas Job ID #18894.
