About the Role
Focus Staff is seeking a travel Speech Language Pathologist for a 13-week contract assignment in Sacramento, California. The role involves providing speech therapy services to patients ranging from pediatrics to older adults, based on diagnosed conditions.
Responsibilities
- Provide speech therapy services, including evaluation and treatment, to patients of all ages.
- Communicate patient progress or problems to supervisors and other team members.
- Assist with patient scheduling and post charges daily to patient records.
- Document patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer, and accrediting requirements.
- Handle job responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct, Corporate Compliance Agreement, professional standards, and applicable laws.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Graduate of a master’s level program in Speech Language Pathology accredited by the Education Standards Board or meeting ASHA certification requirements.
- Must possess independent decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, and families.
- At least 2 years of SLP experience.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology.
- ASHA certification or equivalent qualifications.

- Critical thinking and ability to act quickly in emergencies.
- Attention to detail and strong knowledge of procedures and patient safety.

Pay
Pay depends on location and experience. Tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
Schedule
40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts, days.
