Travel Speech Language Pathologist - $2,486 per week

Responsibilities

• Aids in the direction, utilization, supervision, instruction, and evaluation of supportive staff, volunteers, and students.
• Interprets and carries out the prescription of physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants.
• Writes verbal orders from physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants in accordance with practice act guidelines.
• Maintains active and supportive communication with patients regarding their progress, problems, home programs, and other issues related to the therapeutic process.
• Performs evaluations focusing on receptive and expressive language skills, speech fluency, vocal and oral motor competence, articulation, and auditory skills.
• Conducts phonetic analyses of speech ability and documents test results.
• Recommends remedial treatment based on evaluations and therapeutic techniques.
• Confers with associates to institute treatment using corrective exercises and special equipment.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited/approved school of Speech Language Pathology.
• New graduates are accepted for this position, although experience is preferred.
• Candidates must be eligible for state licensure and present their license prior to employment.
• American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) card required.
