About the Role
TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for an immediate travel assignment in Wadesboro, NC. This is a 13-week position with 40 hours per week, 8-hour day shifts.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Create treatment and therapy plans tailored to the individualized needs of a diverse patient population in the acute care setting.
- Perform screenings to detect voice or speech disorders.
- Educate patients and family members about speech disorders and causes, including disabilities and traumatic events.
- Report progress and current status to appropriate parties, such as family members, teachers, or medical professionals.
- Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 months of experience; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- ASHA-SLP (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) National Certification.
- State-specific licensing.
- Ability to stand, walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
- Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
