About the role

Work directly with patients to evaluate and treat issues with communication and swallowing.

Expert knowledge of speech sounds, language development, fluency management, and dysphagia are required.

Must have great communication skills, including aptitude for working with patients one-on-one.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat patients with communication and swallowing issues.
  • Provide therapy sessions to improve speech and language abilities.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Document patient progress and communicate with families and referring physicians.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Licensure to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Alaska.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Experience working with pediatric and adult populations preferred.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Pay

Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation).

Schedule
