Travel Speech-Language Pathologist - $2,379 per week

About the role

TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Speech Language Pathologist for a 13-week assignment in Van Nuys, California. This full-time position involves 40 hours per week with 8-hour day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Create individualized treatment and therapy plans for a diverse patient population in the acute care setting.
• Perform screenings to detect voice or speech disorders.
• Educate patients and family members about speech disorders, causes, disabilities, and traumatic events.
• Report progress and current status to family members, teachers, or medical professionals.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.
• Stand, walk, bend, lean, or stoop for extended periods as required by the role.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months of experience; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• ASHA-SLP (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) National Certification with state-specific licensing.
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Pay package is based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
