About the role

TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Speech Language Pathologist for an immediate opening in Rutland, VT. The position is for 13 weeks, 40 hours per week, and 8-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
  • Create treatment and therapy plans to suit the individualized needs of a diverse population of patients.
  • Perform screenings to detect voice or speech disorders.
  • Educate patients and family members about speech disorders and causes, including disabilities and traumatic events.
  • Report progress and current status to appropriate parties, which may include family members, teachers, or medical professionals.
  • Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.

Requirements

  • Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply.
  • Must have BLS and ASHA-SLP National Certification with state-specific licensing.
  • Speech-Language Pathologists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty.
  • SPLs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
