About the role

Work directly with patients to evaluate and treat issues with communication and swallowing.

Expert knowledge of speech sounds, language development, fluency management, and dysphagia are required.

Must have great communication skills, including aptitude for working with patients one-on-one.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat patients with communication and swallowing issues.
  • Provide therapy sessions to improve speech and language skills.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Document patient progress and communicate with families and referring physicians.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Michigan.
  • Experience working with adult populations preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Skills

  • Strong clinical skills in speech-language pathology.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of dysphagia assessment and intervention techniques.
