About the Role

TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for an immediate opening in Ada, Oklahoma. This is a 13-week assignment with 40 hours per week, 8-hour day shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
  • Create treatment and therapy plans tailored to the individualized needs of a diverse patient population in the acute care setting.
  • Perform screenings to detect voice or speech disorders.
  • Educate patients and family members about speech disorders and causes, including disabilities and traumatic events.
  • Report progress and current status to appropriate parties, such as family members, teachers, or medical professionals.
  • Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 months of experience; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
  • ASHA-SLP (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) National Certification with state-specific licensing.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods, as well as bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
