Travel Speech Language Pathologist - $2,295 per week

About the role

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Speech Language Pathologist for a 13‑week assignment in Stockton, California. The role requires 40 hours per week on 8‑hour day shifts. Candidates should have at least 1 year of experience (6 months may be considered for exceptional applicants). As an SLP you will assist patients with speech, voice, or swallowing impairments, evaluate needs, and develop plans of care in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Create treatment and therapy plans to suit the individualized needs of a diverse population of patients.
• Perform screenings to detect voice or speech disorders.
• Educate patients and family members about speech disorders and causes, including disabilities and traumatic events.
• Report progress and current status to appropriate parties, which may include family members, teachers, or medical professionals.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.

Requirements

• Minimum 6 months of experience (1 year preferred; new grads encouraged to apply).
• BLS certification.
• ASHA‑SLP National Certification.
• State‑specific licensing.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, and to bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
