Travel Speech Language Pathologist - $2,247 per week

Focus Staff is seeking a traveling Speech Language Pathologist to provide speech therapy services, including evaluation and treatment, to patients ranging from pediatric to older adults based on diagnosed conditions. This is a 13-week contract assignment in San Jose, CA, with a shift of 5x8 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapy to maximize speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities
• Communicate patient progress or problems to supervisors and team members
• Assist with patient scheduling and post charges daily to patient records
• Document patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer, and accrediting requirements
• Handle job responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, appropriate professional standards, and applicable state/federal laws

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
• Graduate of a master’s-level program in Speech Language Pathology accredited by the Education Standards Board or whose practice meets ASHA certification requirements
• Must possess independent decision-making skills
• Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, and families
• Compassionate, sensitive, and detail-oriented with strong knowledge of procedures and patient safety
• Critical thinker and quick to act in emergencies
• At least 2 years of SLP experience

Pay

Pay depends on location and experience, with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined. Package is based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week.
