Travel Speech Language Pathologist - $2,208 per week

Travel Speech Language Pathologist assignment in Alpena, Michigan. Start date: 11/02/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. 40 hours per week, 8-hour day shifts. Employment type: Travel.

Responsibilities

• Assess referred patients requiring treatment for speech, hearing, and/or language deficits.
• Teach patients how to make sounds, improve their voices, or increase oral or written language skills to communicate more effectively.
• Teach individuals how to strengthen muscles or use compensatory strategies to swallow without choking or inhaling food or liquid.
• Provide skilled speech therapy services and interventions in accordance with physician orders.
• Assess patient needs, plan, evaluate, and modify care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions.
• Set realistic and achievable goals for patients to develop or recover reliable communication and swallowing skills for educational, vocational, and social roles.

Requirements

• Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) or actively in the application process for licensure.
• At least one year of professional working experience.
• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Current CPR certification.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required.
• Additional requirements may be determined by the client facility.
