About the role

TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Speech Language Pathologist for a 14-week position in Rutland, Vermont. This role requires 35 hours per week and operates on a 7-hour shift, day shift.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
  • Create treatment and therapy plans tailored to the individual needs of a diverse patient population in an acute care setting.
  • Perform screenings to identify voice or speech disorders.
  • Educate patients and their families about speech disorders and their causes, including disabilities and traumatic events.
  • Report progress and current status to relevant parties, such as family members, teachers, or medical professionals.
  • Provide timely and accurate documentation according to state and/or insurance guidelines.

Requirements

  • At least 6 months of experience; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • BLS certification and ASHA-SLP National Certification with state-specific licensing.
  • A strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • The ability to stand and walk for long periods, as well as bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.

Qualifications

  • Two years of experience
