Responsibilities

• Assess referred patients with speech, hearing, or language deficits.
• Teach patients to produce sounds, improve voice, and increase oral or written language skills for effective communication.
• Instruct individuals on strengthening muscles or using compensatory strategies to swallow safely.
• Provide skilled speech therapy services in accordance with physician orders.
• Assess patient needs, plan, evaluate, and modify care to meet therapy goals.
• Set realistic, achievable goals to develop or recover communication and swallowing skills, supporting educational, vocational, and social roles.

Requirements

• Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) or actively pursuing licensure.
• Minimum of one year of professional working experience.
• Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology.
• Current CPR certification.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech‑Language Pathology.
• Additional requirements may be specified by the client facility.
