About the role
MedPro Healthcare Allied Staffing is seeking a travel Speech Language Pathologist for a 13-week assignment in Roanoke, Virginia.
Responsibilities
- Assess referred patients for speech, hearing, and language deficits.
- Teach patients how to make sounds, improve their voices, or increase oral or written language skills.
- Teach individuals how to strengthen muscles or use compensatory strategies to swallow without choking or inhaling food or liquid.
- Provide skilled speech therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders.
- Achieve and evaluate realistic and achievable goals for patients to develop or recover reliable communication and swallowing skills.
Requirements
- Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist / SLP or in the process of obtaining one.
- At least one year of professional working experience.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- CPR certification.
- CCC's.
- Other requirements to be determined by the client facility.
