Centra Healthcare Allied is seeking a travel Speech Language Pathologist for a contract assignment in Carthage, North Carolina.
About the role
A great SNF / LTC facility is looking for an experienced Speech Language Pathologist / SLP to join their growing team. The SLP is responsible for assessing referred patients requiring treatment for speech, hearing, and/or language deficits. Responsibilities include teaching patients to make sounds, improve their voices, increase oral or written language skills, and strengthen muscles or use compensatory strategies for safe swallowing.
This is a travel position with the following details:
- Start Date: ASAP
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Shift: 8 hours

Responsibilities
- Work within an interdisciplinary team to develop a plan of care for each patient.
- Provide skilled speech therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders.
- Assess patient needs, plan for, evaluate, and modify care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions.
- Set realistic and achievable goals for patients to develop or recover reliable communication and swallowing skills.
Requirements
- Must have graduated from an accredited school.
- Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist / SLP or proactively in the process of obtaining licensure.
- Current CPR certification.
- Must hold SLP-CCC certification.

Pay
Pay package is based on 8.0-hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
