Travel Speech Language Pathologist - $2,104 per week
About the role
The current client in Suffolk, VA is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to provide speech therapy services to pediatric and adult patients based on diagnosed conditions. This contract assignment is for 13 weeks and involves working 40 hours per week in a 5x8 day shift.
Responsibilities
- Play an important part in helping patients to recover and feel better about themselves by providing therapy to maximize speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities.
- Communicate patient progress or problems to supervisor and other team members; assist with patient scheduling and post charges daily to patient records.
- Document patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer, and accrediting requirements.
- Handle job responsibilities in accordance with the Company's Code of Business Conduct, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, appropriate professional standards, and applicable state/federal laws.
Requirements
- Proven experience as Speech Language Pathologist.
- Graduate of a master’s level program in Speech Language Pathology which is accredited by the Education Standards Board or whose practice meets ASHA certification requirements.
- Must possess independent decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the staff, physicians, patients, and families.
- At least 2 years of SLP experience.

The ideal candidate should demonstrate exceptional efficiency and attention to detail, along with a strong knowledge of procedures and patient safety. They must also show compassion and sensitivity, and be a critical thinker who acts quickly in emergency situations.
Skills
Strong communication skills, ability to handle emergencies, and a proven track record in SLP are essential.
