Travel Speech Language Pathologist - $2,087 per week

MedPro Healthcare Allied Staffing is seeking a travel Speech Language Pathologist for an assignment in Lancaster, Massachusetts.

About the role

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will assess and treat patients with speech, hearing, and language deficits. Responsibilities include teaching patients to improve communication and swallowing skills, setting achievable goals, and providing skilled speech therapy interventions in accordance with physician orders.

Responsibilities

• Assess referred patients requiring treatment for speech, hearing, and/or language deficits.
• Teach patients to make sounds, improve voices, or increase oral/written language skills for effective communication.
• Teach individuals to strengthen muscles or use compensatory strategies to swallow safely.
• Provide skilled speech therapy services/interventions per physician orders.
• Assess patient needs, plan, evaluate, and modify care to meet speech therapy goals.
• Set realistic and achievable goals for patients to develop or recover reliable communication and swallowing skills.

Requirements

• Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) or actively in the application process for licensure.
• At least one year of professional working experience.
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Current CPR certification.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required.
• Additional requirements may be determined by the client facility.
