Travel Speech-Language Pathologist - $1,970 per week

About the role

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Speech Language Pathologist for a position in Farmington, New Mexico. The role involves working 36 hours per week, 13 weeks, and 9 hours per shift, with a 40-hour workweek. The position requires 6 months of experience and ASHA-SLP National Certification with state-specific licensing.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Create treatment and therapy plans to suit the individualized needs of a diverse population of patients.
• Perform screenings to detect voice or speech disorders.
• Educate patients and family members about speech disorders and causes, including disabilities and traumatic events.
• Report progress and current status to appropriate parties, which may include family members, teachers, or medical professionals.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.

Requirements

• Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply.
• Must have BLS and ASHA-SLP National Certification with state-specific licensing.
• Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty.
• Must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Pay

The pay package is based on 9 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
