About the role
HealthTrust Workforce Solutions HCA is seeking a travel Speech Language Pathologist for a 13-week assignment in Walterboro, South Carolina.
Responsibilities
- Provide speech-language therapy services to patients in a hospital setting.
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Document progress and communicate with referring physicians and families.
Requirements
- Current certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- BLS certification.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in speech language pathology.
- A degree in speech language pathology or a related field.
- Appropriate state licensure.
Qualifications
- RN with a minimum of 1 year of experience in specialty.
- Allied health with 6 months of experience.
Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong clinical judgment and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR).
