Fusion Medical Staffing-Therapy is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Jonesboro, Arkansas. About the Role

This is a travel position with a duration of 13 weeks, requiring 37 hours per week on a 12-hour day shift. The role involves evaluating, diagnosing, and treating communication and swallowing disorders across diverse patient populations.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize standardized assessments and clinical observation to evaluate speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders.
  • Design personalized therapy programs based on evaluation findings, patient goals, and evidence-based practices.
  • Continuously assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and maintain detailed, accurate documentation in the electronic medical record.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on communication strategies, home-based exercises, and safe swallowing practices, while offering supportive counseling.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards.
  • Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development to stay current with best practices in speech-language therapy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice.

Requirements

  • Valid Speech Language Pathologist License in compliance with state regulations.
  • Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
  • Master’s Degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology (preferred).
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (preferred).
  • Speech-Language Pathology experience (new graduates are welcome to apply).
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Proficiency in PC skills and ability to follow written/verbal instructions.

  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work effectively with various personnel, maintaining a positive attitude and professionalism.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 37 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
