Fusion Medical Staffing-Therapy is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Jonesboro, Arkansas. About the Role
This is a travel position with a duration of 13 weeks, requiring 37 hours per week on a 12-hour day shift. The role involves evaluating, diagnosing, and treating communication and swallowing disorders across diverse patient populations.
Responsibilities
- Utilize standardized assessments and clinical observation to evaluate speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders.
- Design personalized therapy programs based on evaluation findings, patient goals, and evidence-based practices.
- Continuously assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and maintain detailed, accurate documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on communication strategies, home-based exercises, and safe swallowing practices, while offering supportive counseling.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards.
- Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development to stay current with best practices in speech-language therapy.
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice.
Requirements
- Valid Speech Language Pathologist License in compliance with state regulations.
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
- Master’s Degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology (preferred).
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (preferred).
- Speech-Language Pathology experience (new graduates are welcome to apply).
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Proficiency in PC skills and ability to follow written/verbal instructions.

Pay
Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 37 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
