About the role
Pioneer Healthcare Services is seeking a travel Speech Language Pathologist for a 13‑week assignment in Burkeville, Virginia, starting 10/02/2026. This full‑time (40 hours per week) position is based on‑site in an assisted living setting and involves providing speech, language, cognitive‑communication, and swallowing therapy.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients' communication and swallowing needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide therapy to improve speech, language, cognitive‑communication, and swallowing skills.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and families on communication strategies and safe swallowing techniques.
- Monitor and document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Implement interventions in various settings, including outpatient, acute care, and skilled nursing facilities.
- Participate in discharge planning and coordinate follow‑up care for continued support.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech‑Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Virginia licensure or certification as a Speech‑Language Pathologist.
Pay
$1,848.93 – $1,906.11 per week (based on 8‑hour shifts, 40 hours per week; tax‑free stipend amount to be determined).
Schedule
Day shift, 5 × 8 hours (up to 40 hours per week).
