About the role

The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) evaluates, diagnoses, and treats communication and swallowing disorders in individuals of all ages across various settings. Responsibilities

  • Utilize standardized assessments and clinical observation to evaluate speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders across diverse patient populations
  • Design personalized therapy programs based on evaluation findings, patient goals, and evidence-based practices
  • Continuously assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans, and maintain detailed documentation in electronic medical records
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on communication strategies, home-based exercises, and safe swallowing practices
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for comprehensive patient care
  • Maintain safe treatment environments adhering to infection control protocols and regulatory standards
  • Participate in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities
  • Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice

Requirements

  • Valid Speech Language Pathologist License in compliance with state regulations
  • Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
  • Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Physical ability to remain stationary, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend
  • Ability to work effectively with various personnel and present professionalism
  • Technical/motor skills for procedures and equipment use
  • Ability to cope with frequent public contact, meet deadlines, and work under pressure
  • Visual acuity and effective communication abilities

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree or higher in Speech Language Pathology (preferred)
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (preferred)
  • Speech Language Pathology experience (new graduates welcome to apply)
  • Other certifications or licenses may be required
