Travel Speech Language Pathologist - $1,602 per week

Focus Staff is seeking a traveling Speech Language Pathologist to provide speech therapy services, including evaluation and treatment, to patients ranging from pediatric to older adults based on diagnosed conditions.

About the Role

This is a 13-week contract assignment with a 40-hour workweek and an 8-hour day shift. The position is travel-based and located in Detroit, Michigan.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapy to maximize speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities.
• Communicate patient progress or problems to supervisors and team members; assist with patient scheduling and post charges daily to patient records.
• Document patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer, and accrediting requirements.
• Handle job responsibilities in line with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct, Corporate Compliance Agreement, and applicable professional, state, and federal laws.

Requirements

• Graduate of a master’s-level program in Speech Language Pathology accredited by the Education Standards Board or meeting ASHA certification requirements.
• Proven experience as a Speech Language Pathologist with at least 2 years of SLP experience.
• Must possess independent decision-making skills and excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, and families.
• Compassionate, detail-oriented, and able to act quickly in emergencies.

Pay

Pay depends on location and experience, with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined. The pay package is based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week.
