Travel Speech-Language Pathologist position in Laconia, New Hampshire. 12-week assignment, 32 hours per week (8-hour day shifts). Immediate opening in acute care setting assisting patients with speech, voice, and swallowing impairments.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders
• Create treatment and therapy plans to suit the individualized needs of a diverse population of patients
• Perform screenings to detect voice or speech disorders
• Educate patients and family members about speech disorders and causes, including disabilities and traumatic events
• Report progress and current status to appropriate parties, which may include family members, teachers, or medical professionals
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines

Requirements

• Minimum 6 months of experience (1 year preferred; new graduates encouraged to apply)
• BLS certification
• ASHA-SLP National Certification
• State-specific licensing
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning assignment

Pay
