Travel Speech-Language Pathologist - $1,466 per week

About the role

TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Speech Language Pathologist for a 13-week, 36-hour per week position in Vidalia, Georgia. The role involves working 7 hours per day in the acute care setting, with the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Create treatment and therapy plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Perform screenings to identify voice or speech disorders.
• Educate patients and their families about speech disorders and related topics.
• Report progress and current status to relevant parties, such as family members, teachers, or medical professionals.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation according to state and insurance guidelines.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of experience; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
• BLS certification and ASHA-SLP National Certification with state-specific licensing.
• A strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, as well as bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.

Qualifications

• ASHA Certification
• BLS Certification
• 2 years of experience (or 6 months for exceptional candidates)

• Excellent communication skills
• Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
