About the role
The position involves providing specialized instruction to students with mild to moderate disabilities within a school setting. The teacher will work closely with a team of educators, therapists, and administrators to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
Responsibilities
- Teach academic subjects tailored to the needs of students with mild to moderate disabilities.
- Develop and implement IEPs to meet the unique educational requirements of each student.
- Collaborate with other professionals to provide a comprehensive educational program.
- Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
- Participate in regular meetings with parents and guardians to discuss student performance and progress.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education or related field.
- State special education teaching certification.
