About the role
TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Speech Language Pathologist for a travel job in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders
- Create treatment and therapy plans to suit the individualized needs of a diverse population of patients
- Perform screenings to detect voice or speech disorders
- Educate patients and family members about speech disorders and causes, including disabilities and traumatic events
- Report progress and current status to appropriate parties, which may include family members, teachers, or medical professionals
- Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines
Requirements
- Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply
- Must have BLS and ASHA-SLP National Certification with state-specific licensing
- Speech-Language Pathologists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty
- SLPs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology
- Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment
Schedule
- Duration: 13 weeks
- 35 hours per week
- Shift: 7 hours, days
