Job Summary

Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in skilled nursing facility settings in Hilo, Hawaii. This position involves providing rehabilitation services within a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) and/or Intermediate Care Facility (ICF), conducting evaluations, developing treatment plans, and implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions to enhance residents' communication, mobility, and quality of life. Candidates must be prepared to perform duties aligned with licensure, scope of practice, and applicable state and federal regulations.

Job Details

  • Location: 1180 Waianuenue Ave, Hilo, Hawaii 96720

  • Schedule: Days, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week

Required Qualifications

  • Current State of Hawaii license in good standing appropriate to the discipline

  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in the SNF/ICF setting preferred

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

  • Hawaii License must be obtained prior to start date

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in skilled nursing facility or intermediate care facility settings

Responsibilities

  • Provide evaluations, reassessments, treatments, and clinical services in accordance with licensure and scope of practice

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team

  • Educate residents, families, and caregivers

  • Complete timely, compliant documentation of progress and discharges

  • Supervise therapy assistants as applicable

  • Be available to work Hawaii State and Federal Holidays as necessary

Additional Information

  • Must arrive the Thursday before the start date to attend employee health appointment on Friday

  • Fluency with Electronic Medical Record documentation (Net Health Rehab Optima Epic) and facility workflows is provided during orientation

Pay Package

The pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
