About the role

Pioneer Healthcare Services is seeking a travel Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Speech Language Pathologist for a 13-week assignment in Danville, California. This full-time, on-site position offers day shifts (8 hours, 5 days per week) in a rehabilitation center setting.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patients' communication needs and swallowing needs and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Provide therapy to improve speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing skills
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Educate patients and families on communication strategies and safe swallowing techniques
  • Monitor and document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Implement interventions in various settings, including outpatient, acute care, and skilled nursing facilities
  • Participate in discharge planning and coordinate follow-up care for continued support

Requirements

  • A master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • CA licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist

Pay

$2,055.66 - $2,119.24 per week (based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week, subject to confirmation)

Schedule

  • 13-week assignment
  • Day shifts: 5x8 hours per week (up to 40 hours)
  • Start date: ASAP
