Travel Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) position in a Skilled Nursing Facility located in a suburban community with access to outdoor recreation and regional transit. The role offers a flexible, professional environment and emphasizes commitment to diversity and inclusivity.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with recovery, mobility, and therapy under a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Support restorative programs, ADL training, transfers, gait training, therapeutic exercises, and use of medical equipment.
• Help maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records.
• Provide direct patient care, assist with mobility and exercises, support recovery goals, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assistance from an accredited program.
• Active NJ PTA license.
• BLS certification.
• Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing settings preferred.

Skills

• Knowledge of therapy techniques, patient care, documentation, and equipment handling.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and adapt to patient needs.
