About the role
A Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) is sought to join a healthcare organization specializing in skilled nursing facility (SNF) and rehabilitation services. This role involves supporting patients' recovery by assisting Occupational Therapists with therapy treatments aimed at improving mobility, independence, and quality of life. The position offers a day shift with consistent hours.
Schedule
- Day shift, 8 hours per day
- Minimum of 40 hours per week
- Start date: 08/24/2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
Responsibilities
- Monitor patient progress and encourage recovery
- Teach self-care and independence techniques
- Update patient records
- Maintain treatment areas and equipment
- Instruct patients and caregivers in therapy techniques
- Perform a variety of duties to assist the Occupational Therapist in delivering effective patient care
Requirements
- Certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Missouri state license
- BLS (American Heart Association)
- CPR certification
- 2 years of occupational therapy experience (long-term care or rehabilitation experience preferred)

- Long-term care (LTC) or rehab experience
- COTA license
- CPR certification
