About the role

Northern Cardinal Rehabilitation & Nursing is seeking a Travel Occupational Therapist for a 13-week contract in Suffolk, Virginia. Partnering with Quality Rehab Management, this Skilled Nursing Facility opportunity offers the chance to work with an adult and geriatric population focused on restoring independence, improving functional abilities, and enhancing quality of life.

As an Occupational Therapist, you'll evaluate residents, develop individualized treatment plans, and work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to help patients regain the skills needed for daily living and safe discharge planning.

Responsibilities

  • Perform OT evaluations and reassessments
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Address ADLs, self-care, upper extremity function, cognition, and safety awareness
  • Recommend adaptive equipment and environmental modifications
  • Collaborate with PTs, SLPs, nursing staff, and physicians
  • Complete timely documentation and progress reports
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment strategies and safety techniques

Requirements

  • Virginia OT License Required
  • BLS Required
  • SNF experience preferred
