MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN SICU - Surgical Intensive Care for a travel nursing assignment in York, Pennsylvania. As a Joint Commission‑certified staffing agency, MedPro places nursing and allied travelers in top healthcare facilities nationwide. The role involves providing critical care to adult patients in a Surgical Intensive Care Unit.

Responsibilities

• Manage the care of adult patients experiencing life‑threatening problems requiring complex assessment, high intensity therapies, and interventions.
• Provide patient care, education, and support to the patient's family.
• Ensure proper functioning of life support equipment such as ventilators and feeding tubes.
• Monitor heart rate, blood pressure, and respiration for signs of distress.
• Administer medication, IVs, and insert catheters as needed.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of medication administration.
• Assist in emergency nursing procedures for prompt control of changes in patient’s physical condition.
• Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation accurately and effectively.

Requirements

• Active RN license
• Degree from an accredited nursing program
• BLS and ACLS certification
• Minimum eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care SICU setting
• Additional requirements may be specified by the client facility

Pay

Weekly pay and direct deposit are provided. Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined. Weekly payment estimates include a gross estimate of hourly wages and reimbursements for meals, incidentals, and housing; your recruiter will confirm eligibility and provide additional details.
