About the role
The successful candidate will provide psychological services to students in a school setting.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments and interventions to address student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement educational plans
- Provide consultation and training to staff on mental health issues
- Develop and implement strategies to improve student behavior and academic performance
Requirements
- Masters degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Current Maryland School Psychologist Certification
- Experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting
- Knowledge of child development and learning theories
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
- Passing score on the Praxis II exam for School Psychologists
- Experience with data collection and analysis
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
