Travel RRT - NICU - $2,285 per week

About the role

Immediate opening for a Pediatric Registered Respiratory Therapist (Peds‑RRT) to provide direct patient care across a variety of clinical areas, including evaluations and treatments per procedural guidelines. Requires 1 year of recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Administer a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities
• Maintain appropriate patient records and documentation
• Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, and maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories
• Evaluate equipment for proper and safe function; report malfunctions to the director
• Perform arterial puncture and analyze samples according to procedure guidelines
• Interact with co‑workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care
• Respond to emergent situations requiring respiratory support
• Physical demands: stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty; lift 20 lb routinely and up to 50 lb occasionally; specific vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment

Requirements

• 1 year of recent acute care experience
• NBRC‑RRT certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) — may be required in some areas
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) — may be required in some areas
• Additional certifications may be required before assignment begins

Pay and schedule

Pay package based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours/week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined. Assignment duration: 26 weeks.
