About the Role

Aya Healthcare has an immediate opening for a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in Seattle, WA. This is a 13-week night shift assignment with 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30), starting September 28, 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Provide adult critical care respiratory therapy
  • Perform bag and mask ventilation, BiPAP, CPAP, Bubble CPAP, and CPAP/Nasal CPAP/BIPAP
  • Manage ET tubes, extubation, and fresh tracheostomy care
  • Administer hand-held nebulizer treatments and metered dose inhaler (MDI) medications
  • Assist with intubation and bronchoscopy procedures
  • Perform nasal and oral airway placement and suctioning
  • Administer nitric oxide (iNO), Isuprel, Medihaler, Terbutaline Sulfate, Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, Flovent, Lidocaine, Mucomyst, Perforomist, Pulmicort, Racemic epinephrine, Spiriva, Tobramycin, and Xopenex
  • Manage pressure/volume ventilators and troubleshoot high pressure alarms
  • Perform weaning from mechanical ventilation and IMV/SIMV
  • Deliver pulmonary hygiene and chest physiotherapy (including Vest therapy)
  • Collect sputum specimens and draw arterial blood gases
  • Interpret arterial blood gas (ABG) results
  • Manage High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) and Trach collar
  • Provide care for patients with ARDS, aspiration, COVID-19, cystic fibrosis, and pneumonia
  • Provide emergency department respiratory support

Requirements

  • 1 year of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
  • Current RRT certification
  • Current BLS certification
  • Epic charting system experience
  • Skills in all areas listed under Responsibilities
