About the Role
This is a travel assignment with a duration of 13 weeks, featuring night shifts on a 3x12-hour schedule (18:45 - 07:15). The facility uses Epic for charting and is an acute care hospital with 49 beds.
Pay
$1,830 to $2,023 weekly, including taxable wages and tax-free expense reimbursements.
Schedule
- 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (18:45 - 07:15)
- Night shifts with a patient ratio of 8:1
- Weekend shifts with a patient ratio of 8:1
Responsibilities & Skills
Required skills and competencies include:
- Adult Critical Care
- Aerosol setup (trach, mask, handheld)
- Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, Perforomist, Pulmicort, Spiriva, Tobramycin, Xopenex
- ARDS, Aspiration, COVID, Cystic fibrosis, Pneumonia, Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV)
- Bag and mask ventilation
- BiPAP and CPAP management
- Chest physiotherapy
- Drawing and interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs) and capillary blood gases
- Emergency Department experience
- Endotracheal tube (ET Tube) management, including suctioning and extubation
- Fresh tracheostomy care
- High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) and troubleshooting high-pressure alarms
- IMV (Intermittent Mandatory Ventilation) and SIMV (Synchronized Intermittent Mandatory Ventilation)
- Inhaled steroids and Metered Dose Inhaler (MDI) administration
- Intubation assistance and lidocaine use
- Medihaler administration
- Mechanical ventilation (Pressure/Volume Ventilator), weaning, and T-piece management
- Mucomyst administration
- Nasal airway placement and suctioning
- Near drowning and respiratory distress syndrome management
- NICU and Pediatric Critical Care experience
- Oral airway placement and suctioning
- Oxygen tank management
- Pediatrics and transient tachypnea of the newborn
- Pulmonary hygiene and sputum specimen collection
- Racemic epinephrine administration
- Suctioning (ETT, NT) and flow-by techniques
- Trach collar management
Requirements
- 1 year of experience in respiratory therapy
- Required certifications: NRP, PALS, CRT, RRT, ACLS, BLS
