Aya Healthcare offers a travel assignment for a Respiratory Therapist in Seneca, SC.
About the role
This is a 13-week assignment with a day shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts (06:45 - 19:15). The facility uses Epic as its charting system.
Responsibilities & Skills
- Adult Critical Care
- Aerosol set up (mask and trach)
- Administration of medications: Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, Lidocaine, Mucomyst, Pulmicort, Racemic epinephrine, Xopenex, Spiriva, Flovent, Perforomist
- BiPAP and CPAP management
- Emergency Department procedures
- Extubation and intubation assistance
- Hand-held and Metered Dose Inhaler (MDI) administration
- High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) management
- Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs)
- Nasal and oral airway placement and suctioning
- Oxygen tank management
- Sputum specimen collection
- Suctioning (ETT, NT)
- T-piece management
- ARDS, aspiration, and pneumonia care
- Bag and mask ventilation
- Basic EKG interpretation
- Chest physiotherapy (including vest therapy)
- Drawing arterial blood gases
- ET Tube management
- Flow-by oxygen administration
- IMV (Intermittent Mandatory Ventilation) and SIMV (Synchronized Intermittent Mandatory Ventilation)
- Patient transport (inter-departmental and ambulance)
- Pulmonary hygiene
- Tracheostomy care and management (including trach collar)
- Troubleshooting high-pressure alarms
- Weaning from mechanical ventilation
Requirements
- 1 year of experience
- Required certifications: BLS, NRP, PALS, RRT, ACLS
- Travel experience required
Facility Information
This position is at an acute care hospital with 131 beds.
Pay
Weekly pay ranges from $1,828 to $2,021, including taxable wages and tax-free expense reimbursements.
Schedule
Three 12-hour shifts per week (06:45 - 19:15). Assignment starts on 09/21/2026.
